Station 1 (Headquarters) is located in the Rockford Hills area of Los Angeles and houses the administrative offices.
Station 3 is located in East Los Angeles and houses the training branch of the department.
Station 4 is located in Los Santos International Airport.
Station 5 is located in Downtown Vinewood.
Station 6 located in Southern Vespucci.
Station 7 in La Puerta is joint with PAAU and has a focus HazMat response.
LAFD Rescue 1 is located at it's own station in Downtown Los Angeles.
The LAFD fire training center is located in the rear of Station 3 in East Los Angeles.
The LAFD airport fire training center is located next to Station 4 in Los Santos International Airport.

The main purpose of the engine is fire suppression. The engine carries 1000 feet of 5 inch supply hose, as well as 750 feet of 1 3/4 inch and 2 1/2 inch attack hose. Each engine carries 750 gallons of water, and has 1,500 gallon per minute pump. Engines also carry BLS medic bags, forest fire gear, and extrication equipment for motor vehicle accidents. There are 5 personnel stationed on each engine.
The main purpose of the medic unit is emergency medical services. The medic unit carries all necessary equipment for per-hospital care such as cardiac monitors, airway equipment, immobilization devices, trauma dressings, medications, and obstetric kits.
The main purpose of the command vehicles are to provide transportation for shift commands as well as command staff. The command vehicles carry portable fire extinguishers, basic medical supplies and an AED. Also carried are maps, laptop capabilities, communication equipment, and equipment for setting up a unified incident command.
The main purpose of the Fire Investigation Unit (FIU) is to determine the cause of structure fires. They investigate the fire scene after the fire has been extinguished to determine if the fire was accidental or arson.

The main purpose of the utility vehicle is to assist firefighters with transportation of people and supplies. The utility vehicles can transport water and other rehab supplies to the fire ground or transport firefighters on special details.
